Echo Work: Field Recording as a Tool of Cognitive Excavation*

A participatory field recording and video sample gathering workshop organized by Plura.

During the workshop the participants will experiment with different approaches to gathering samples, by exploring the nature around the ACTA building in a guided walk.

‍

Using a set of introspective exercises participants will experience how getting into different mindspaces during the fieldwork can influence the qualities of gathered audio and video recordings. Later, they will experiment with LiDAR and photogrammetry techniques to transform the selected video recordings into 3D objects.

The recordings gathered during the workshop are going to be a part of an interactive installation premiering in RADION next year.
