The need to support FLINTA

“FLINTA is a German abbreviation that stands for "Frauen, Lesben, Intergeschlechtliche, nichtbinäre, trans und agender Personen", meaning women/females, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans and agender people.”

Recent statistics released by ‘Female:Pressure’ made us disturbingly aware that we still have a long way to go to reach equality in FLINTA representation on lineups. (only 30% female, 3% non-binary, 7% mixed)

“We can do better than this!” was the thought of ARTDICTIVE, RIOT, Sofia Malokaj and RADION.

‍

We joined forces with London-based collective BOUDICA, run by Samantha Togni, and Berlin-based collective WEEEIRDOS, run by Lolsnake, and the first Dutch FLINTA Festival was born.
